The New Mausoleum of St. Patrick

A Lasting legacy of peace and remembrance

are you prepared?

The passing of a loved one is such a difficult time, fraught with so many swirling emotions. Pre-planning for such moments is an act of love that helps alleviate the stress and anxiety that accompanies such challenging periods, while ensuring that
a loved one’s wishes are honored.

The forthcoming Mausoleum of St. Patrick will be constructed at the highest point of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, which is in Hawthorne, New York (25 miles from Manhattan, in Westchester County).

The new Mausoleum provides a dignified and spiritually enriching final resting space. Designed with classic architecture, tranquil surroundings, and perpetual care, it is a timeless tribute to faith and family, and an ideal sanctuary for everlasting life. The interior areas of the new Mausoleum are temperature controlled for your comfort during visits and Catholic services. Gate of Heaven Cemetery celebrates mass monthly in its chapel.

By securing space now, you and your family gain numerous benefits, including the assurance of a sacred Catholic burial site.

“It’s said that what really defines the human person is that we remember, and we dream. In a mausoleum, we’re always remembering those who we love, and we’re always dreaming of life everlasting. Mausoleums and cemeteries are not only places of consolation, but they are also places of teaching, as they remind us of the doctrine of everlasting life and the communion of saints, that we’re all part of a family that goes beyond space and time.”

—His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York

Acting now also enables you to secure pre-construction pricing at all price points, while securing your ideal crypt or niche placement. For example, a crypt at eye level, in the presence of a favored saint, or one of our select private family rooms for up to 8 family members. The Mausoleum is more than 60,000 square feet. Temporary entombments are available while the Mausoleum is being constructed; and Mausoleum crypts (for caskets) and niches (for cremation urns) purchased now are guaranteed.

Features for the Mausoleum are state-of-the art and include:

A Variety of Crypt and Niche Options

These include granite fronted exterior crypts and marble fronted interior crypts; single, companion, and private family rooms; as well as diverse glass fronted and marble fronted niches.

Aesthetic Appeal

Beautiful landscaping and lovely architectural details enhance the Mausoleum’s serenity, such as custom artwork, the statue of St. Patrick in the Mausoleum’s inner sanctum, beautiful stained glass windows, skylights throughout, and handcrafted Italian mosaics.

Inclusivity

Only one family member is required to be Catholic for an eternal resting place in the Mausoleum.

Security and Maintenance

The Mausoleum is secure and well- maintained for long-term peace of mind. Professional security guards patrol our entire gated cemetery.

Location and Accessibility

The Mausoleum is 25 minutes from Manhattan, a one-minute walk from the Mt. Pleasant Metro-North station and a 5 minute drive from Exit 26 Stevens Avenue on the Saw Mill River Parkway.

Above Ground Protection

The new Mausoleum of Saint Patrick is being built at the highest point of Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In the spirit of St. Patrick’s profound devotion, we invite you to consider a meaningful way to ensure the eternal rest of your family in a mausoleum of reverence and beauty.

As St. Patrick so eloquently expressed, “Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,” may this mausoleum, dedicated to his wisdom and prayers, serve as a testament to the enduring presence of faith in our lives.
